Sex and Intimacy
Navigating sexual issues in a relationship can feel lonely. It can also feel mentally, emotionally, and even physically painful. These challenges often bring feelings of confusion, shame, frustration, or disconnection. Therapy can be a helpful tool. At New Life we provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals and couples to explore challenges related to sex and intimacy.
Areas We Work With:
We work with clients with a wide range of sexual concerns, including:

-
Porn use and its impact on relationships
-
Sexual dysfunction, including issues with arousal, desire, and performance
-
Sexual pain that can make intimacy feel physically or emotionally distressing
-
Sex after an affair or betrayal, when trust and connection may feel ruptured
-
Effects of sex addiction on the relationship

Whether you're struggling individually or as a couple, we work collaboratively to help you gain insight, reduce anxiety, and move toward healing and greater intimacy.
Our Approach

Therapy from a Bowen Family Systems perspective means looking beyond the immediate problem to explore the broader emotional patterns within your relationships, both past and present. Sexual concerns rarely occur in isolation. Often, they reflect deeper dynamics within the couple or family system. By increasing awareness of these relational patterns and strengthening your sense of self in the context of the relationship, you can move from reactivity to clarity, creating space for emotional and sexual connection to thrive. This systems-based approach is particularly effective for long-term intimacy restoration, where the goal is not just symptom relief, but deeper connection and greater emotional maturity.
You’re not alone. Healing is possible. If you're ready to begin the process of sexual and relational healing, we invite you to reach out. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, deeper connection, and meaningful intimacy restoration.
