I enjoy focusing my undivided attention on clients to help grow the counselor-client relationship.  This connection is unique in a world that is becoming ever more technologically driven at the expense of human connection and intimacy.  My academic background is in theology (bachelors and master’s-level degrees focused in theology, marriage, and family), and I’m currently completing my M.S. in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University.

I’m a former classroom teacher and have a passion for reading Great Books. As Flannery O’Connor once said, “A story is a way to say something that can’t be said any other way… you tell a story because a statement would be inadequate.” I appreciate the way the Great Books illuminate the complex nature of the human condition and believe this helps me respect each person and gifts that the Lord has given to them.  With clients I prioritize applying the Bowen Family Systems theory, with periodic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tools, as well as using the Prepare/Enrich assessment tool when working with couples.  Please reach out and let me know how I may be helpful for you.  Taking clients at our south location only.
